Parents/Guardians are the #1 reason that students do not get in trouble and stay safe when using the internet.

For parents/guardians that do not understand technology, they can do these four things to ensure their childs safety.

  1. Monitor the computer use of your children by being physically present when the children use the computer.

  2. Keep the computer in a central location, like the kitchen or the family room.

  3. Remove the powercord or battery when parents/guardians are not present to monitor the computer and establish times for computer use.

  4. Talk with your children about their internet use, know their usernames and passwords, and monitor their internet activity.

I think that your parents should know your account stuff so if you are getting bullied they can help you and to make sure you are not putting bad stuff on line because some kids do stuff like that and wish they did not. I also think they should know like if you forget yours.
